- Age UK: 01444 450248 : For issues relating to age, including an advice line for a range of things: financial, health and well being, obtaining help at home, work and learning and much else. Details of Haywards Heath drop-in centre can be found here.
- Alcoholics Anonymous : 0845 769 7555 : For those tackling alcohol addiction. Includes a meeting-finder to locate your nearest meeting.
- Al-Anon : A useful support group for those affected by alcoholism in a loved one or friend. Al-Anon Family Groups provide support to anyone whose life is, or has been, affected by someone else’s drinking.
- Boarding Concern: issues relating to time spent at Boarding School.
- Bullying UK : 0808 800 2222 : a website for both children and adults affected by bullying.
- (Bereavement) Winston's Wish : 08088 020 021 : providing specialist child bereavement support services across the UK, including in-depth therapeutic help in individual, group and residential settings.
- Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) : 0800 58 58 58 : an excellent resource for young men who are feeling unhappy.
- Childline : 0800 1111 : Useful for a range of things, such as handling bullying, abuse, and much else.
- Citizens Advice Bureau : 01444 458377 : The Citizens Advice service helps people resolve their legal, money and other problems by providing free, independent and confidential advice. Website Includes addresses for Haywards Heath and Burgess Hill drop in centres.
- Cruse Bereavement Care : 0808 808 1677 : Cruse Bereavement Care is the leading national charity for bereaved people in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, offering support, advice and information to children, young people and adults when someone dies.

- (Domestic Abuse) Worth Services : Tel 0330 222 8181 / Tel 01903 205 111 (extension 84395) / Tel 07834 968 539 (weekends) : supports people affected by domestic abuse in West Sussex. Available 7 days a week 0900-1700hrs.
- (Domestic Abuse) National Centre for Domestic Violence : 0800 970 2070 : provides a free, fast emergency injunction service to survivors of domestic violence regardless of their financial circumstances, race, gender or sexual orientation.
- Mind : a charity very helpful for people with depression. It offers a wide range of useful resources and links to other relevant information.
- Narcotics Anonymous (NA) : Helpline 0300 999 1212 : For those tackling substance addictions (including alcohol).The site includes a meeting-finder.
- Papyrus : 0800 068 41 41 : a voluntary organisation supporting teenagers and young adults who are feeling suicidal.
- Samaritans (Brighton & Hove) : 01273 772277 : An excellent talking service. Operates a 24-hour service available every day of the year. If you prefer to write down how you're feeling, or if you're worried about being overheard on the phone, you can email Samaritans at jo@samaritans.org.
- Students Against Depression is a website for students who are depressed, have a low mood or are having suicidal thoughts.

- Sussex Mental Healthline : 0300 5000 101 : Provide confidential telephone support and information. Available: Monday to Friday 5pm-9am & available 24hrs at weekends and on bank holidays.
- (Self-Harm Help) Right Here, Brighton & Hove : An excellent & local service, including a video guide for parents & carers. SelfHarmUK also has a useful website.
- Mid Sussex Wellbeing Service : 01444 477191 : Can support you to eat healthier, lose weight, give up smoking, cut down on drinking and manage stress.
- NHS 111 Service : Tel: 111 : "111 is the NHS non-emergency number. Speak to a highly trained adviser, supported by healthcare professionals. They will ask you a series of questions to assess your symptoms and immediately direct you to the best medical care for you."
