A therapist-led treatment format combining regular therapy sessions with structured support between sessions.
Some psychological problems - particularly OCD, health anxiety, panic and certain forms of chronic stress - often require more than a single conversation each week. Progress often depends on continuing the work between sessions, not just during them.
Nexus Protocol Therapy was developed at Whitestone to provide structured support between sessions while maintaining the oversight of an experienced therapist.
For some clients this allows therapy to progress more quickly and with greater consistency than a traditional once-weekly format.
Even when my weekly therapy schedule is full, places may still be available within the Nexus programme.

Nexus Protocol Therapy is a therapist-led treatment format developed within Whitestone Therapy.
It combines regular one-to-one sessions with structured support between sessions, helping clients maintain momentum with the behavioural and cognitive work agreed in therapy.
The Nexus protocol helps track progress and adherence to the agreed treatment plan. All clinical judgement and oversight remain with me. Within the protocol, analytical tools map progress against research-informed treatment trajectories, helping highlight patterns that might otherwise be missed between sessions.
The aim is simple: to make it easier to practice the work that leads to improvement, day by day.
Clients continue to meet with me for regular therapy sessions (either online or in person).
Between sessions:
This structure helps ensure that important therapeutic work does not stall between sessions, which is a common challenge in traditional formats.
Nexus Protocol Therapy is particularly suited to conditions where consistent behavioural practice tends to produce the best outcomes.
These commonly include:
It is usually less suitable where therapy is primarily relational and exploratory, where a traditional weekly meeting is often more appropriate. Suitability is discussed carefully during the initial assessment.
Clients often choose Nexus because it provides:
For people managing busy lives, it can also be a more practical and responsive format than traditional weekly therapy alone.
